Everyday towing

What we do, and how we do it right

A tilt-tray, sometimes called a flatbed or slide tray, is the tow truck you want under your car. Instead of lifting one end and dragging the other on its tyres, the whole deck tilts down to the road and winches your vehicle up level. All four wheels sit on steel. Nothing scrapes, the gearbox never turns, and the car arrives exactly as it left.

It is the everyday work that keeps us busy. A no-start in the driveway, a car that failed a service, a private sale that needs delivering across town, a repossession, a driveaway that has to reach the dealer. If it has four wheels and needs to travel without being driven, it belongs on the flat tray.

What rides on the flat tray

Most days it is ordinary cars going to ordinary places. The tray does not care what badge is on the bonnet.

Everyday cars and vans

Hatchbacks, sedans, wagons, people movers and small vans, moved between home, the mechanic and the dealer.

Non-runners and no-starts

Flat battery, blown motor, no keys or a seized brake. If it will not roll or start, the winch does the work.

Private sales and delivery

Bought or sold a car across town or up the highway? We collect and deliver it without adding a kilometre to the odometer.

Fleet and dealer moves

Batches of vehicles shifted for dealers, fleets and auction houses, on time and without a mark.

Loaded level

The tray tilts to the road, soft straps go on, and the winch draws the car up square. Low clearance is no drama.

Common questions

Good to know before you call

Everyday tilt-tray towing across Adelaide, the northern suburbs and regional SA, seven days a week.

A tilt-tray carries the whole vehicle on a flat deck that lowers to the road. A conventional wheel-lift truck picks up one end and tows the car on its other two tyres. The flat tray is gentler, keeps the drivetrain still, and is the right choice for low, all-wheel-drive and non-driveable cars.

Yes. The winch pulls a dead car onto the tray whether it starts or not, and we can move a vehicle that is stuck in gear or has a locked brake. Tell us on the phone so we bring the right gear.

We cover all of metro Adelaide and out into regional South Australia every week, and we take on long-distance and interstate runs by arrangement. Give us the pickup and drop-off and we will quote it straight.
